Andrey Beresnyak received the M.S. degree in physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow, Russia, and the Ph.D. degree in astronomy from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA. He was the Director’s Fellow with the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM, USA, from 2010 to 2014, the Alexander von Humboldt Fellow with Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Bochum, Germany, from 2011 to 2012, and a fellow with the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics, Stockholm, Sweden, in 2014. Since 2014, he has been an NRC Fellow with the Laboratories for Computational Physics and Fluid Dynamics, NRL, Washington, DC, USA, after that he became a Contractor with the Plasma Physics Division, NRL. His current research interests include MHD turbulence, cosmic rays, plasma physics, magnetized turbulence, reconnection, and particle acceleration.
