I am focused on understanding and predicting the role of landscape heterogeneity and structure on biodiversity (population and communities level) towards a linkage with the ecological processes involved, particularly those related with distribution, life-history and evolution. My research mainy addresses freshwater biota at various geographical scales, a highly endangered biodiversity, threatened by climate change and other anthropogenic impacts.
