I am an Education Scientist at St. Joseph’s Education Research Centre (SERC) in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I hold a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University and am a Scientist with the McMaster Education Research, Innovation and Theory (MERIT) Program. My research program involves using education as a tool to address pressing health challenges, particularly those relating to mental health. My focus is currently on understanding and improving equity and wellbeing in our health systems. I also conduct research in the areas of competency-based medical education, including assessment; learner-centred pedagogies; and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
