At the Centre for Statistics in Medicine (CSM), I analyse data for interim and final reports using statistical methods like longitudinal and survival analysis. I assist in the design and set up of clinical research projects within a multidisciplinary team, prepare statistical analysis plans, and provide written statistical input into protocols. My favourite part of my job is developing statistical programs in R and STATA to deal with data issues more easily and efficiently.

Currently, I get involved in projects UK-TAVI, OCTOVA, HUSH, ELAD, NKP1 and BOSS.

I have a longstanding interest in clinical trials, beginning with my Master’s thesis work on the application of random effects Markov model on a clinical trial, supervised by Prof Farid Zayeri. I previously worked as a medical statistician at a large pharmaceutical company in Iran, supporting all phases of clinical trials to collect data on the safety and efficacy of biosimilar drugs.

I also have research experience in public health and national-level projects, such as the burden of disease in Iran, from my time at the Non-Communicable Diseases Research Centre of the Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
