He has published more than 600 scientific articles, more than 80 book chapters, 10 published books and the organizer of 14 books.

He supervised 14 post-doctoral students, 32 doctoral theses and 33 master’s dissertations. He participated in several advisory committees of Medicine of CNPq, CAPES and other governmental agencies to support research. He has experience in the area of Medicine, with emphasis on Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology, acting mainly on the following themes: diagnosis, differential diagnosis, treatment, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, depression and bipolar disorder.
