She was awarded the Max-Planck Society's Otto-Hahn Medal for her research done in collaboration with colleagues at the neighboring Max-Plank-Institut für Radioastronomie (MPIfR).

Prof Koribalski conducts a many astronomy projects, all with international collaborators, and has mentored numerous postdoctoral fellows and PhD students from a wide range of Australian and international universities as well as Yr10 work experience students.

Prof Koribalski's current research focuses on the ASKAP survey science projects (esp. EMU & WALLABY) and deep observations of galaxy groups and clusters with MeerKAT.

She has published close to 300 refereed papers in highly cited international journals gaining over 11 000 citations. Her h-index is 64, with eleven key papers cited more than 200 times.
