Research from our lab focuses on the formation, function and maintenance of brain blood vessels. We are particularly interested in mechanisms underlying the impact of endothelial dysfunction on neural development. As such, we investigate non-neuronal causes of neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as the metabolic adaptations of the brain to vascular deficiencies. Studying neurovascular interactions during brain development opens promising avenues in the biology of brain & mind health.
