The MD Anderson Breast Radiotherapy Service represents decades of breast cancer expertise by ten radiation oncology clinicians, and a specialized team of breast radiotherapy nurses, physicists, therapists, and dosimetrists. We treat all left-sided and selected right-sided breast cancer using deep-inspiration breath hold to eliminate the heart from the radiation field. We offer every type of radiotherapy technology including proton therapy, always selected and personalized to each case. We are constantly working to improve radiotherapy for breast cancer and offer numerous clinical trial opportunities designed to make radiotherapy easier and more effective with fewer side effects.
