Bio
Brendan Byrne is a carbon cycle scientist at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory with expertise in data assimilation. His work has improved approaches for estimating sources and sinks of CO2 derived from atmospheric CO2 observations, leading to insights into linkages between the carbon cycle, climate, and extreme events. Dr. Byrne has also led a pilot project to generate top-down estimates of National CO2 budgets, with the goal of aiding national greenhouse gas inventory development.
