In 1999, he was awarded the Premier Physician Award from the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. A frequent lecturer at national and international meetings, Dr. Lashner also serves on the editorial boards of peer-reviewed publications, including the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He has served as principal investigator for many clinical trials on inflammatory bowel disease and has published extensively on clinical aspects of inflammatory bowel disease.
