Camila Alves Rezende

BSc (2002), MSc (2004) and PhD (2007) in Chemistry from University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Visiting doctoral fellow (2006) and postdoct (2007-2008) at Laboratory Léon Brillouin in France; postdoct at the Institute of Chemistry (UNICAMP, 2008-2010) and at the Institute of Physics of São Carlos (USP, 2010-2012); visiting researcher at the Centre for Novel Agricultural Products (CNAP) at the University of York (2017). Camila worked on several projects and has expertise in colloidal and surface chemistry; polymers and nanoparticles; polymer blends and nanocomposites; biofuels and extraction of compounds from plant biomasses. Since 2012, she is an associate professor at the Institute of Chemistry at Unicamp, where she coordinates the Laboratory of Chemistry and Morphology of Biomass (LaQuiMobio). Currently she has been working with the extraction of cellulose and lignin from plant biomasses to produce fibers and nanoparticles and with their application in polymer nanocomposites, coating films, aerogels, solid foams, hydrogels and cosmetics.
