Changjin Hong received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Hanyang University in 1999. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He previously worked as a network engineer intern at www.mcdata.com during Summer 2006 and Fall 2006 and as a research assiatant at the Digital Technology Center and the Multiscale Multirate Signal Processing Laboratory, University of Minnesota, respectively. His research interest includes the algorithm development in comparative biology, discriminative patterns analysis on clinical SNP data, and string kernels for protein structural classification.
