For my PhD, I worked in the Australian alps investigating the effects of ski resorts on reptiles. Since then, I have investigated the effectiveness of agri-environment schemes in Australia, factors that influence Eucalypt regeneration in agricultural areas across broad spatial scales, the interface between practical and theoretical surrogate ecology, and our ability to predict ecosystem collapse. Currently, I am conducting IUCN Red List of Ecosystem assessments for alpine-subalpine Australia.
