D. Aníbal García-Hernández is a Senior Researcher at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC, Spain). His research focuses on the nucleosynthesis and molecular processes in the late stages of stellar evolution and how they contribute to the progressive enrichment of the ISM and to the chemical evolution of galaxies. In particular, he is interested in the production of heavy neutron-rich elements in the more massive Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars and in the formation processes of complex organic molecules (e.g., PAHs, fullerenes, and graphene) in stars evolving from the AGB to the Planetary Nebula (PN) stage.
