Ortiz-Masiá Dolores

Maria Dolores Ortiz-Masia graduated from the University of Valencia with a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (2001) and Medicine (2014), and a M.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2003). In 2002, she obtained a competitive predoctoral fellowship “Beca V Segles”. In 2007, she obtained her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the Molecular Biology doctoral programme of the University of Valencia with the doctoral thesis "Functional characterization of C1 subgroup MAP kinases of plants" under the direction of Dr. Fernando Aniento Company and Dr. Mª Jesús Marcote Zaragoza. After that, she enjoyed a postdoctoral stay in the laboratory of Pr Esplugues and Pr Barrachina with a competitive postdoctoral contract granted by CIBERehd in 2007 (2007-2014). After her postdoctoral stay, she obtained a competitive Ayudante Doctor contract at the Department (2014-2019) of Medicine and joined the laboratory of Unidad Mixta Hospital Dr. Peset-Facultad de Medicina. In 2019, she obtained a competitive Profesor Contratado Doctor contract and currently she is full Lecturer of Medicine at the Department of Medicine. Since 2014, she has directed 41 TFGs and 3 Thesis (Dr.Jesus Cosin Roger (2016, Extraordinary Award of Doctorate in University of Valencia), Dr. Dulce Carolina Macias Ceja (2018) and Dr. Pedro Salvador Escribano (2019)). She has obtained a total of 5 competitive projects as Principal Investigator in Teaching innovation projects. Since 2007, she started a new line of research focused in the study of the inflammation and complications in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She has participated in 16 competitive projects as Collaborator Investigator and she has signed a total of 23 articles or reviews, as first or corresponding autor in 11 of them, and frequently in journals with a high impact factor and of the first quartile. She has presented more than 110 communications to national and international congresses as both poster and oral communication. Currently she is ECCO (European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization), GETECCU (Grupo Español de Trabajo en Enfermedad de Crohn y Colitis Ulcerosa) CIBERehd (Centro de Investigaciones en Red, enfermedad hepática y digestiva) and SEPD (Sociedad Española de Patología Digestiva) membership. Furthermore, she is part of the Scientific Evaluation Committee of GETECCU and Editor board of the international journal Current Trends in Inflammation Research.
