Bio

Professor Donna Fitzsimons is Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Queen’s University Belfast. She is an experienced clinical academic who has previously enjoyed a long-standing joint appointment between Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and Ulster University. Donna has strong international links and Chairs the Advocacy Committee within the Board of the European Society of Cardiology and is a founding member of the Global Leadership Forum for Cardiovascular Nursing. She holds an Editorial Board position on several international journals including the American Heart Journal Plus and the European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing
