He has been a clinical commissioner with South Norfolk CCG, and continues to have an interest in developing healthcare services based around local federations of general practices.
Research Interests
Duncan is a GP whose research is focussed on the prevention and treatment of stroke and cardiovascular disease in the primary care setting. In 2013 he was awarded his current fellowship to research the question “How and why does uptake of secondary prevention medication after stroke vary between general practices and between patient groups?” He also contributes to numerous electronic health record projects and sits on the Independent Scientific Advisory Committee which advises on the use of the Clinical Practice Research Datalink for research.
