I am a geochemist and astrobiologist and the theme of my research program is investigating interactions between water and minerals and the impacts of biota. We use field work, laboratory experiments, and modeling to investigate signatures of aqueous alteration and life. Our work helps understand weathering, nutrient release, soils, geomicrobiology, and biosignatures on Earth and Mars.
