Elena Sacchi

The core of my research is the study of the formation and evolution of galaxies in the nearby Universe, in particular through the comparison between data and models, from model building and algorithm development and testing, to data analysis and interpretation, with all the statistical and computational challenges involved. This is also part of my formation background, started during my master thesis project. During the past years, I had the chance to work within large international collaborations, learning how to deal with different points of view, to schedule my work and present it to researchers with both very similar and quite different scientific backgrounds, and to embed it in a “big-picture” framework.
