Edgar A. León

Edgar A. León Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, CA 94550 USA (leonborja1@llnl.gov). Dr. León is a Computer Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). He received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of New Mexico and is an avid contributor to the field of high-performance computing. Prior to joining LLNL, he worked at IBM Research and Sandia National Laboratories. His research focuses on scientific applications' performance, scalability, and productivity for next-generation supercomputers. His work on scalable systems simulation, power-aware computing, networking, and system noise has been recognized in the scientific community and has made an impact on the computer industry. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
