Eduardo M. A. M. Mendes received the B.Eng. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering and the M.Sc. degree from Federal University of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, in 1988 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in control systems engineering from The University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K., in 1995. He holds a position of a Full Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. His research interests include system identification for nonlinear systems, NARMAX methods, model validation, prediction, spectral analysis, chaos, signal processing, and neurosciences.
