Veterinary epidemiologist (DVM, PhD) with a dissertation on the epidemiology and socioeconomic impact of African swine fever in smallholder settings in Uganda. Current research focus on the epidemiology of animal diseases affecting poor communities mainly in the global south, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. More than 15 years of experience in managing research, capacity building and development projects in low income countries, more than 15 years of experience in surveillance and control of epizootic diseases.
