Francisco Rodriguez-Covarrubias

Francisco works as Urologist at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutricion Salvador Zubirán (INCMNSZ) and at Medica Sur Hospital in Mexico City. He completed general surgery and urology residency at INCMNSZ between March 1999 and February 2005. He completed a university training program in Laparoscopy and Urologic Oncology at the Department of Urology at Henri Mondor Hospital in Créteil, France between June 2006 and June 2007. Since 2009 he has been appointed national researcher of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT, Mexico. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine of Mexico and the Mexican Academy of Surgery. In 2018 he was appointed member of the Ethics Committee of the Latin American Renal Cancer Group (LARCG) and in 2019 as member of the Medical Advisory Board of the International Kidney Cancer Coalition (IKCC). He is former president of the Mexican Association of Urological Oncology (2018-2019), as well as Coordinator of the Uro-Oncology Chapter (2017-2019) and Secretary of Education (2019-2021) of the Mexican Society of Urology. He is currently serving as Pro-Secretary of the Medical Association of INCMNSZ (2020-2022) and as Editor-in-Chief of Revista Mexicana de Urologia (2021-2023). He is the author of more than 50 papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
