Frédéric Coutant

Dr Frédéric Coutant is currently an associate professor in Immunology, at the University Claude Bernard in Lyon/Hospices Civils of Lyon, in France. He is specialized in the biological diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. He received his PhD in Immunology from the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon in 2004, before going on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute Gustave Roussy in Villejuif (France) and at the Pasteur Institute of Paris (France). He gained his MD in 2017 from the University of Clermont-Ferrand (France), after having completed his medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine Paris-Descartes (France). His main research interests include the role of dendritic cells in the pathogenesis of chronic inflammatory diseases, and the exploration of the pathogenic role of autoantibodies associated with autoimmune diseases.
