Bio
Hala G. Thabet is an Associate Professor of Political Science, College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), Zayed University. She has a long experience in teaching at both Cairo University, Faculty of Economics and Political Science (FEPS), Egypt and CHSS, UAE. She was a senior researcher in the Centre for African Future Studies, Cairo, since 1997, and in ZU held many administrative positions such as the Assistant Director of the Arabic Studies Institute, the assistant dean for students affairs, and the chair of the International Studies Department in CHSS. Her research focuses on the ethnic conflict management, democratization, civil-military relations in Africa and the Arab world. she has published many books and academic articles in both Arabic and English.
