John MacAuley joined ESnet in 2013 to continue his work as a primary contributor of the Open Grid Forum Network Services Interface Working Group and to develop a production deployment of the NSI protocol. He holds an MSc in Computer Science from Western University, and has had an extensive career developing software products at Bell-Northern Research, Nortel, Avaya, and SURFnet. Recently he managed the Software Engineering Group, and is currently Chief Software Architect focusing his efforts on integrated research infrastructure and software for the next generation production network at ESnet.
