Bio
J. A. Rodríguez-Manfredi received the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Doctoral Program of Automation, Robotics and Telematics, University of Seville, Seville, Spain, in 2007.
He is the Principal Investigator of the TWINS instrument (onboard NASA’s InSight mission) and the MEDA instrument (onboard NASA’s Mars2020/Perseverance mission to Mars). His current research interests include the development, testing, and deployment of advanced and innovative scientific instrumentation to explore and characterize other planets, moons, and extreme environments on Earth, from an Astrobiological perspective.
