Jesus San-Miguel-Ayanz

Jesús San-Miguel-Ayanz received his B. Sc. degree in forest engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain, in 1987 and the M. Sc. and Ph.D. degree on remote sensing and geographic information systems from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1989 and 1993, respectively. He was with the University of Cordoba, Spain, where he was an Assistant Professor from 1994 to 1995 and an Associate Professor of forest inventory, forest mensuration, and remote sensing from 1995 to 1997. He was also a Research Fellow with the European Space Agency, Noordwijk, The Netherlands, from 1993 to 1994, and with the University of California from 1989 to 1993. He is a Senior Researcher with the Institute for Environment and Sustainability, Joint Research Centre, European Commission, Ispra, Italy, in the field of forestry.
