I am an Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences (with tenure), Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, vice-coordinator of the Centre for Functional Ecology (CFE). My current interests are focused in the study of the ecology and evolution of plant species. Together with Silvia Castro, coordinates the FLOWer Lab, whose objectives are to study plant diversification and sympatric speciation through polyploidization and plant-pollinator interactions.
