I am interested in the formation and evolution of protoplanetary disks in young star-formation regions. I study how planets form, and the impact of the conditions of the host disk in setting the characteristics of the newborn planets. To get a better insight on disk evolution, I study, from observational and theoretical points of view, protoplanetary disks around T Tauri stars in young stellar clusters at different ages. For the observations, I had used datasets from important telescopes at very different wavelengths: in radio frequencies, I have used the VLA and ALMA data. In the far- and mid-infrared, data from the Herschel and Spitzer space telescopes and from the 10 m Gran Telescopio de Canarias. In the optical and near-IR, I have used FIRE, MIKE, MagE, and M2FS spectrometers in the 6.5 m Magellan telescopes in Las Campanas Observatory in Chile and also the CID instrument and Boller & Chivens spectrometer in the 2 m telescope at the San Pedro Mártir Observatory in Mexico. On the theoretical counterpart, I use the D’alessio Irradiated Accretion Disk (DIAD) models (D’Alessio+1999, 2001, 2006), which are one of the most physically complete and self-consistent models available in the literature, which allow us to calculate the detailed vertical and radial structure of irradiated accretion disks around low-mass stars in a self-consistent way.
