I am a member of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leicester, where I first completed a 4 year MPhys in Physics with Astrophysics, before staying on to do a PhD in X-ray Astronomy. After finishing my PhD, I didn't like the look of the "Real World" outside the university, so I continued to work in the department, partly still doing research in the X-ray and Observational Astronomy group and partly over in the Space Research Centre, working on the calibration of GERB 2, one of the Geostationary Earth Radiation Budget instruments.
