Visiting scientist at the Department of Nutrition at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (2017/2018). Associate editor of the British Journal of Sports Medicine (BJSM) in the area of Physical Activity, Epidemiology and Public Health. Main research interest is to understand the importance of healthy lifestyles for the prevention of non-communicable diseases in populations. Research interests: (i) epidemiological studies on physical activity, diet and obesity and the risk of cancer; (ii) cancer burden attributable to modifiable risk factors; (iii) synthesis of evidence and assessment of biases in epidemiological studies; (iv) distribution of NCDs and their determinants in populations.
