Research interests
My research is focused on increasing physical activity in people living with disability and comprises four inter-related streams:
Training fitness and mobility in people after severe traumatic brain injury(Key paper: Hassett L et al, Cochrane Database Syst Rev 2017)
Designing/using technology to improve mobility and physical activity in people undertaking rehabilitation(Key paper: Hassett L et al, PLOSMed 2020)
Identifying,promoting and evaluating appropriate opportunities for community-based physical activity for people living with disability (Key paper: Hassett L et al, BMJOpen SEM 2021)
Training health professionals (particularly physiotherapists) to promote physical activity for broader health benefits within their usual care (Key paper: Zhu S et al, IJERPH 2021)
