Gregory Leinders

My research activities are oriented around the solid-state chemistry of nuclear fuel materials. In particular, the structural relations between uranium oxide compounds are subject of investigation, with emphasis on the speciation of uranium induced by corrosion/oxidation mechanisms. Further projections towards other actinide oxide materials relevant in the nuclear fuel cycle are similarly being made. The research is conducted in the larger domain of safe management of nuclear fuel materials.
