Luis Rivera currently works at Instituto de Ecoregiones Andinas CONICET/UNJu. Luis does research in Conservaton Biology and main research themes are - Habitat requirements and population ecology of threatened species - Effects of human influence at local and landscape scale on habitat quality, occupancy, and abundance of birds, mammals, and trees - Effects of Disturbance (logging, fire, and grazing) on forest structure, tree composition, and regeneration - Identification of indicators and delineation of scientific monitoring for sustainable forest management - Identification of priority conservation areas and role of protected areas on conserving biodiversity
