Associate Professor Magenta Simmons is a Principal Research Fellow and the Head of Youth Involvement Research at Orygen and the Centre for Youth Mental Health at The University of Melbourne. Her work focuses on how young people who experience mental health challenges can be meaningfully involved as collaborators in research projects (youth partnerships in research), in clinical decision making about their own care (shared decision making), and as peer workers supporting other young people (peer support).
