Mariam Jamal-Hanjani is a Clinician Scientist and Group Leader at the UCL Cancer Institute in London. She studied theoretical physics and medicine both at UCL, and is a Thoracic Medical Oncologist. Her research is focussed on the biological processes driving metastatic disease, including genomic drivers of tumour dissemination, tumour-and host-initiated mediators of catabolic states suggestive of cachexia, and failure of the adaptive immune system.
