Marian Beekman

Marian Beekman (1972) studies the role of genetic and phenotypic variation in human healthy ageing and longevity. Integration of genetic data with a wide scale of omics data to investigate how genetic variation can contribute to healthy ageing is one of the major goals in her studies. Therefore, she combines the in depth phenotyping of the participants of the Leiden Longevity Study (Leiden LangLeven Studie) with the data analysis in the setting of molecular epidemiology.
