His program focuses on improving morbidity and mortality in these conditions by discovering original treatment strategies through avant-garde clinical trials. He also develops novel diagnostic assays to improve outcomes in these patients, such as using plasma cell-free DNA to monitor the host-response to infection and optimize treatment decisions.
