Mauro Campanella received the Laurea degree in physics. He has spent one year with CISCO Systems between the years 1999 and 2000 and lives north of Milano in Italy. He is working for the Italian Research and Education Network (GARR), as Senior Network Engineer, and is responsible for research. He started working on computers and networks in 1984. He is one of the Authors of the Premium IP QoS service and of the AutoBAHN service (Bandwith On Demand), for the GÉANT European backbone. He acted as Co-Ordinator of the EC FP7 FEDERICA project to support research in current and future Internet. He is participating to various EC projects and is a member of the management committees of the GÉANT project..
