Mauro Rubino

I am an isotope biogeochemist focusing on the quantification of the fluxes involved in the global carbon cycle. I did my PhD 2002-2006 at Seconda Università di Napoli (Department of Environmental Science, thesis title: “Carbon fluxes during leaf litter decomposition: from leaf litter to soil organic matter and to atmospheric CO2”). My past employments are: - 2007-2008: months post doc in France, working at the INRA (Institute National de la Recherche Agronomique) as a post-doc fellow (project: amino acids residence time in soil organic matter). - 2008-2012: months post doc at the University of Copenhagen. - 2012-2013: year contract at the CSIRO (Division of Marine and Atmospheric Science, Victoria, Australia) as a Research Scientist. - 2013-2017: year Research Fellow at the Università della Campania 'Luigi Vanvitelli'. - 2017-2018: Lecturer at Keele University (UK) - Current: Researcher at Università della Campania 'Luigi Vanvitelli' and Visiting Scientist at the CSIRO. My research focuses on the application of isotopic methodologies to understanding the global carbon cycle. My primary interest is the quantification of past changes of the relationship between the Carbon Cycle and the Climate system using ice cores as an archive of the paleo-environment.
