Bio
Dr. Natalya Kramarova received her MS degree in physics (2000) and later a Ph.D. Degree in Physics and Mathematics (2007) from Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia. In 2008-2009 she worked as a research scientist at Moscow State University, studying long-term ozone variations caused by natural processes, such as the 11-year Solar cycle, Quasi-Biennial Oscillation etc. In 2010 she joined Science Systems and Applications Inc., and works in the Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Branch at the NASA GSFC. Natalya led the validation effort for the Solar Backscattered Ultraviolet (SBUV) dataset - the longest satellite ozone dataset - defining the characteristics of the SBUV retrieval algorithm and related uncertainties, and providing guidelines for the proper use and interpretation of the data. Her most recent research involves validation of ozone measurements obtained from the new Ozone Mapping and Profiler Suite (OMPS) launched on the board the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (NPP) satellite in October 2011.
