Pei-Hsun Wu is an associate research professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, a member of the Institute for NanoBioTechnology (INBT), and the Physical Sciences Oncology Center.

His research focuses on the development of high throughput image-based single-cell analysis methods, systems analysis of tumor microenvironment in cancer invasion, and establishing machine vision and machine learning algorithms for quantitative profiling of microenvironments of patient tumors and predicting tumor outcomes.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at National Taiwan University (Taipei) in 2003 and his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Florida for his work in cellular biophysics. With a fellowship from the National Cancer Institute, he did postdoctoral research at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He joined the faculty in 2014.
