As the Director of the Biliary Atresia Research and Cure (BARC) Center, Dr. Shivakumar's Laboratory of Liver Research strives to identify mechanisms behind the life-threatening pediatric liver disease of BILIARY ATRESIA. Our lab has made significant contributions to the molecular and cellular mechanisms of neonatal hepatobiliary inflammation and fibrosis.
