BC Cancer Kelowna provides cancer services to approximately 750,000 population living in interior British Columbia. In my current RMD role, I am responsible for comprehensive delivery and management of cancer medical programs. I allocate and manage medical resources in the region, anticipating future changes that will affect service delivery. I lead the planning and delivery of medical services, and develop effective partnerships that enable the best patient outcomes and experiences. I am also co chair of the BC Cancer Foundation-BC Cancer Kelowna Advisory Council.
In 2005, I commenced the first regional prostate brachytherapy program in BC in compliment to Vancouver's program.
I am a past president of the Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology (2013-2015) and am a board member of the Canadian Radiation Oncology Foundation. My clinical and research work has focused on the care and treatment of patients with Lung cancer, prostate cancer and more recently has focused on health services research. I have received community awards including the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce top 40 over 40 and the Kelowna Capital News’ above and beyond , top honoree.
