Sarah Bechtle received the M.Sc. degree in computational neuroscience from Bernstein Center, Berlin, Germany, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Tuebingen, Germany. She was an affiliated member of the Machines in Motion Lab, New York University. She is currently a Research Scientist with DeepMind, London, U.K. Her research interest includes the intersection between machine learning and robotics, specifically focusing on model-based learning within the action–perception–learning loop as well as in meta and lifelong learning.
