Stefanie Galban

Stefanie Galban received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biology from Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. She completed postdoctoral training at NIH, Bethesda, MD, USA, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA. She is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Radiology and a member of the Center for Molecular Imaging and the Rogel Cancer Center, University of Michigan. Her research focuses on the development of therapeutic strategies to overcome resistance in malignancies. Her lab tests molecularly targeted therapies in preclinical mouse models for adult and pediatric glioma using noninvasive molecular imaging strategies. Recent strategies have also included the evaluation of the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) to understand its contribution to tumor resistance by immune evasion and identify new therapeutic targets.
