Dr. Marder's research has focused on the drug treatment of schizophrenia and the pharmacology of antipsychotic drugs. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 journal articles and chapters based on research. The Schizophrenia Research Unit that he developed together with the late Theodore Van Putten has been an important site for training a number of psychiatrists who developed careers in research.
