Abbey William

William Abbey is a Technologist with the Planetary Geosciences Group at Caltech’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He routinely consults on projects requiring geologic expertise, including field testing of systems and hardware being developed for planetary missions, as well as procurement and/or development of analog samples for laboratory testing of such instruments. He also supports the Mars Science Laboratory as a Surface Sampling Systems Scientist and the Mars 2020 SHERLOC Payload as a Payload Uplink/Downlink Specialist. He holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Geology from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
