Tamara Pulpitel

I am a Senior Research Officer at the Charles Perkins Centre, University of Sydney. With a PhD in ecological immunology, I have transitioned into the field of biomedical nutrition where I work across multiple projects spanning nutrition, ageing and metabolic health with a bench to bedside approach. My passion lies in service in science and how to facilitate researchers to produce robust research outcomes. I am broadly interested in ecological immunology, behavioural ecology and molecular biology. My postgraduate research focused on pathogen-host interactions of Australian locusts within an ecological context; in particular how locust immunity functions on a behavioural, physiological and molecular level.
